Cancellation & Refund Policy

No cancellations or refunds on Pop Up one time events due to limited space. 

For our camp weeks, we understand that plans can change. Because The Makery Studios is a small-group camp with limited enrollment, each registration reserves a space that may otherwise have been available to another camper.

The following cancellation and refund policy applies to all camp block registrations.

24-Hour Cancellation Period

Families may cancel a camp block within 24 hours of purchase for a refund.

Refunds will be issued for the amount paid, less any non-refundable payment-processing, banking, or transaction fees incurred by The Makery Studios.

Exception: If the camp block is scheduled to begin within 48 hours of purchase, the 48-hour cancellation policy below applies and the registration is final.

Cancellations After 24 Hours

After the initial 24-hour cancellation period, refunds and rescheduling are not guaranteed.

If more than 48 hours remain before the start of the applicable camp block, The Makery Studios may, at the discretion of the Camp Director or camp owner:

• Approve a refund;

• Move the camper to another available camp block;

• Approve another reasonable registration change; or

• Decline the cancellation or change request.

All rescheduling is subject to availability.

Approval of a refund, rescheduling, or other exception on one occasion does not guarantee approval of future requests.

Within 48 Hours of Camp

Once a camp block is within 48 hours of its scheduled start, the registration is final.

There are no cancellations, refunds, transfers, or rescheduling within 48 hours of the start of a camp block.

This applies even if the registration was purchased less than 24 hours earlier.

AM & PM Blocks

AM and PM camp blocks are separate registrations.

Families may purchase either the AM block, the PM block, or both.

If both blocks are purchased for the same camper during the same camp week, complimentary lunchtime supervision between the two blocks is included.

Campers staying between blocks must bring their own packed lunch. The Makery Studios does not provide lunch.

Cancellation of one block does not automatically cancel the other block. If you need to cancel both an AM and PM registration, each applicable registration is subject to this Cancellation Policy.

Missed Days & Partial Attendance

Camp tuition reserves a camper's space for the entire registered block.

There are no refunds, credits, prorated tuition, or make-up days for missed camp time due to:

• Illness;

• Vacation or travel;

• Scheduling conflicts;

• Sports or other activities;

• Transportation issues;

• Late arrival;

• Early pickup;

• No-shows;

• Voluntary withdrawal;

• Behavioral or safety-related removal; or

• Other personal circumstances.

This applies whether a camper misses one day or the entire block.

Illness

We understand that children get sick. However, because enrollment is limited and your registration reserves a camper's space, illness does not qualify for a refund, credit, rescheduling, or make-up day once the applicable cancellation period has passed.

Minimum Enrollment

The Makery Studios requires a minimum enrollment of five campers per block.

If we cancel a camp block because minimum enrollment has not been met, families registered for that block will receive a refund of the tuition paid for the cancelled block.

The Camp Director may offer the option to move the camper to another available block, but families are not required to accept an alternative and availability cannot be guaranteed.

Cancellation by The Makery Studios

The Makery Studios may occasionally need to modify, reschedule, or cancel programming because of circumstances including facility closures, emergencies, unsafe conditions, natural disasters, utility failures, government orders, staffing emergencies, or other circumstances that make normal operation unsafe, impracticable, or impossible.

Families will be notified as promptly as reasonably possible.

Depending on the circumstances, The Makery Studios may provide a refund, rescheduled block, credit, or other reasonable remedy, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law.

Registration Transfers & Changes

Registrations may not be resold.

When more than 48 hours remain before the applicable block begins, a request to move a registration to another camper or another available camp block may be considered at the discretion of The Makery Studios.

All changes are subject to availability and prior approval.

Please include the camper's name and the camp block you are requesting to cancel or change.

The date and time the request is received by The Makery Studios will be used to determine whether the request falls within the applicable cancellation period.
