This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you visit our website, contact us, register a camper, complete camp forms, or otherwise interact with The Makery Studios.

By using our website or providing information to us, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us and may include:

Parent or Guardian Information

We may collect:

• Email address

• Phone number

• Billing and contact information

• Registration and transaction information

Camper Information

When registering a child for camp, we may collect:

• Camper’s name

• Date of birth and age

• Camp registrations

• Emergency contacts

• Authorized pickup persons

• Behavioral, developmental, sensory, communication, or other support information

Because some camper information is sensitive, we ask families to provide only information that is relevant to the camper’s health, safety, participation, or support while attending The Makery Studios.

The Makery Studios provides programming for children ages 8–13, but our website, registration system, and online forms are intended to be used and completed by parents or legal guardians.

Children should not independently submit personal information, registration forms, medical information, or other camper information through our website.

Parents and legal guardians are responsible for providing information about their children and for ensuring that the information provided is accurate.

If we become aware that personal information was submitted directly by a child without appropriate parent or guardian involvement, please contact us so we can review and address the information appropriately.

We do not use camper medical, allergy, medication, behavioral, or support information for advertising purposes.

4. Registration & Payment Information

Camp registrations are made for specific AM blocks, PM blocks, or both, depending on the family’s selection and availability.

Payments may be processed through Wix or third-party payment processors available through our website.

Payment processors may collect payment card, bank, billing, and transaction information according to their own privacy policies and terms.

The Makery Studios generally does not directly receive or store complete payment-card information when payments are processed by a third-party payment processor.

We may receive transaction information such as the purchaser’s name, contact information, amount paid, payment status, transaction details, and refund information.

5. Camper Health, Medical & Support Information

We may collect information regarding a camper’s:

• Medical conditions

• Allergies

• Dietary restrictions

• Medications

• Emergency medications

• Physical limitations

• Behavioral or support needs

• Sensory or communication needs

• Emergency plans

• Other information relevant to safe participation

We use this information for purposes related to camper health, safety, supervision, participation, reasonable accommodation, and emergency response.

Access to this information is intended to be limited to individuals who reasonably need it to perform their responsibilities, such as appropriate camp staff, administrators, or emergency responders when necessary.

Parents and guardians are responsible for notifying us when relevant information changes.

In an emergency or when reasonably necessary to protect a camper’s health or safety, we may share relevant information with:

• Authorized parents or guardians

7. Authorized Pickup Information

We collect information about individuals authorized by a parent or legal guardian to pick up a camper.

This may include the authorized person’s:

We use this information for camper safety and release procedures.

We may request photo identification at pickup to verify an individual’s identity.

Emergency contacts are not automatically authorized to pick up a camper unless they have also been designated as an authorized pickup person.

8. Photos, Videos & Social Media

The Makery Studios uses a separate optional Photo & Media Release.

A camper’s identifiable photograph or video will not intentionally be used for The Makery Studios’ public-facing promotional, advertising, website, or social media purposes unless the appropriate parent or legal guardian has provided authorization.

When authorization has been provided, photographs or videos may be used on:

• The Makery Studios website

• The Makery Studios social media accounts

• Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms used by The Makery Studios

• Digital advertising

• Email newsletters and communications

• Printed promotional materials

• Flyers, brochures, signs, and informational materials

• Other authorized promotional or informational materials

Declining the Photo & Media Release does not affect a camper’s ability to attend or participate in camp.

Parents may withdraw authorization for future uses as described in the Photo & Media Release. We may not be able to remove materials already printed or distributed or copies independently saved, shared, or reposted by third parties.

9. Communications & Marketing

We may use parent or guardian contact information to send communications relating to:

• Camp registrations

• Schedule information

• Required forms and waivers

• Camp reminders

• Operational or safety information

• Upcoming camps or programs

• Events

• Registration openings

• Other The Makery Studios news or announcements

Where required, promotional or marketing communications will include an appropriate method for opting out.

Operational communications relating to an existing registration, camper safety, required forms, schedule changes, or other necessary camp matters may still be sent even if you opt out of promotional communications.

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand website usage, improve performance, support security, and provide features offered through our website platform.

Our website is hosted or operated using Wix, and Wix and services integrated with the website may collect technical information such as:
