Winter Break Fall Break Camp Full Day Option 2d Week | 9–4 PM (12/28–12/30)
Winter Break Camp Week 2 | December 28–30, 2026 | Full Day
All of our Winter Break Camps will be led by our Co-Founder Hayley Schilling. Hayley holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Child Development from California State University, Northridge, and is a Child Development Specialist with decades of experience working with children from preschool through elementary school, with specialized expertise in supporting neurodivergent children.
Three full days of hands-on learning designed to build practical skills, independence, confidence, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving. Full-day campers experience both the morning and afternoon blocks, combining global New Year’s traditions and kitchen skills with cooking, woodworking, time management, and strategy.
During the morning block, campers will explore New Year’s traditions from around the world while developing real-world cooking, hospitality, and kitchen-management skills. They’ll prepare traditional foods, practice knife skills and mise en place, measure and scale ingredients, learn restaurant-style serving and communication, and take on team challenges focused on timing, organization, and commercial kitchen cleanup.
In the afternoon, campers will tackle three completely different hands-on experiences. They’ll make fresh pasta and red and white sauces from scratch, learn basic woodworking skills while measuring, sawing, sanding, hammering, and assembling their own wooden box, and finish the week with Beat the Clock, a series of games and challenges designed to teach campers how to estimate time, prioritize tasks, plan ahead, and execute more efficiently.
By the end of the three-day camp, campers will have cooked, built, planned, served, created, and problem-solved their way through a wide range of real-world challenges—developing practical skills they can carry with them beyond camp.

Full-Day Lunch Break
Full-day campers receive complimentary supervised lunch care between the morning and afternoon blocks.
Please pack a lunch for your camper each day. Due to public health requirements (we know it's ironic!), campers must bring their own lunch. The lunch break gives campers time to eat, recharge, and get ready for the afternoon program.
What to Bring
Please send your camper each day with:
• A packed lunch• A refillable water bottle• Sunscreen already applied
All ingredients, supplies, tools, safety equipment, and materials needed for camp activities are provided.
What to Wear
Campers should wear comfortable clothes that can handle a little mess and closed-toe shoes suitable for active, hands-on cooking, building, and camp activities.
Food & Allergies
Campers may taste, sample, and eat the foods they prepare throughout camp with parent/guardian authorization. Please disclose all allergies and dietary restrictions and complete the required camper forms before camp begins.
If your camper has an allergy or significant dietary restriction, one of our Camp Directors will reach out for a consultation to discuss your camper’s needs and the accommodations we can provide. While we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate allergies, food activities take place in a shared commercial kitchen and cross-contact is possible.
Booking & Cancellation
We know plans can change! Bookings may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund.
If your camper has an allergy or dietary need and, after speaking with our Camp Director, you are not comfortable with the accommodations we can provide, the standard cancellation restrictions will be waived and the affected camp booking will be fully refunded.
See our full Cancellation Policy & Terms & Conditions for more details.
